With the recent snap of cold weather that has descended upon us as I write, it is not a hard thing to imagine December and Advent being right around the corner. While the world around us plunges headlong into the Christmas season, it’s a different matter for the church: we journey through a season called Advent. Advent is about waiting for a future which has not yet arrived. It is about expectations and wondering about what is to come next. We ponder what we shall become, as individuals, as a church, and the world around us.
